Hero Hearts Initiative exists to bring courage, comfort, and joy to children battling cancer by delivering hospital-approved hero visits and compassion-centered engagement that strengthens emotional resilience during treatment.
We believe no child should face illness feeling alone. Through imaginative hero interactions, courage-building tools, and compassionate human connection, we help transform hospital experiences into moments of hope, strength, and empowerment.

THE NEED
Our Purpose
Children undergoing cancer treatment face not only physical challenges, but also fear, anxiety, isolation, and emotional fatigue. While hospitals provide life-saving medical care, the emotional journey can be overwhelming for young patients and their families.
Hero Hearts Initiative was founded to fill this critical gap — to ensure that emotional support, courage, and encouragement are accessible to every child facing serious illness.
Our program transforms hospital environments by introducing trained, compassionate volunteers in hero-inspired costumes who bring encouragement, imagination, and moments of joy directly to patients’ bedsides. Through these interactions, children are reminded of their strength, dignity, and ability to face challenges with courage.
